I just moved into a house and the garden has at least four large rosemary "shrubs"; there is a lot of rosemary here.
I was wondering what medicinal value, if any, rosemary has.

Remedies" -Isn't *that* the truth. I have always done well with Rosemary *outside*! I grow it in pots :) I take it in for winter, and can
keep it going just fine in a sunny window... until just before it's
time to harden it off to go back outside! Then, it croaks on me.
However, this year, I kept it sprayed with a liquid chlorophyl that
I add to water... (it has mint in it, as well), kept them to the dry-
side all winter, and am able to put six, (yes, *6*!) outside! I am
so pleased... but I also had five really big ones that I wasn't able
to bring inside, so I built a make-shift cold frame (using black
trashbags filled with leaves, stacking them up as high as I could,
w/o their toppling over, then adding the cover of a sheet :) It
didn't win any beauty awards, but it certainly accomplished it's
mission, as I have survivors, *all*! Most of those I refer to are R. officionalis. As there are many
varieties, not all are as hardy as others. In fact, some are only
hardy to zone 8-9, and I am in zone 6, here in Tulsa. Rosemary
has long been a favorite of mine and for many of the 20 years
we've lived here, this (year) marks my greatest success with it.
I think, that many years, as I've brought mine in, not realizing it,
I've also brought spidermite in with it, tho I always spray for them,
as well as other 'travelers', ... so I always try, as stated above,
to keep everything well sprayed... An old wives tale says that only
those who are the rulers of their house (bossy types :) successfully
grow Rosemary inside. Before *this* spring, I wasn't surprised at
my lack of success. But I really think it was spidermite :)
