What can you tell me of the chemotherapy combination of cytoxin-mtx-5FU?
I am not familiar with this treatment and my mother was just told she
will begin this Wednesday for the treatment of her bone mets from breast
CA. Please let me know anything you know regarding this therapy and its
effectiveness and side effects?

-You could ask these 2 independant advice services. Moss has written a
book on chemo. The nickname for 5FU used to be "5 feet under". · RALPH MOSS advisory service ($250)----Tel: 001 718 636 4433/1679 Fax:

absolutely no burning. My first dose was administered via a standard IV, the
remainder were done through a CVC cathetor. I would recommend that she get a
cath if at all possible. I felt absolutely nothing during the administration - nothing. There is at least one drug in CHOP (may be Cytoxin) that CAN burn if it is
administered via IV and the needle isn't properly placed in the vein or if
it leaks. The one patient I know who had this occur certainly had some pain
and discomfort, but it was NOT severe. - I had a chemo medication infiltrate tissue around the vein, and it did cause
a chemical burn. It was uncomfortable for a while, but nothing that wasn't
bearable. I don't know which medication it was, but it wasn't Cytoxan because
I took that one orally. -Are you certain that you took Cytoxan orally? If you had CHOP, you took
Prednisone (aka Deltasone) orally, not Cytoxan (also known as
cyclophosphamide).
