Chemotherapy Side Effects

My aunt had a portion of her left breast removed on Oct. 31st. due to malignancy. They also removed 11 lymph nodes in which 7 were cancerous. She is to begin Chemotherapy today, and is very worried. What are the general side effects she can expect? I cant find anything on the web that is easy to understand.

---------------------

-I'm going to send you, via email, a running list of notes that have appeared in this website regarding chemo and what to expect. These were posted over the past few weeks and I was amassing them into a doc that I was going to give to a friend who is starting chemo next week. I had also asked the group about some good things to put in a chemo basket as a gift (sum gift, huh?) and that list is at the end of the text file.

It's not very good to look at...guess I'm gonna have to pretty it up pretty soon since I keep sending it to people.

-There are nausa meds out now so she doesn't get sick. She will be tired allot and may lose her hair but bald is beautidul. Some of her pre meds might make her unable to taste certain foods and she might eat allot. Chemo effects people different it depends on the amount they give her and what chemo she is on. Ask her doctor or the nurses anything they will be more then happy to tell you. Also when she goes for chemo talk to the other people taking chemo we all talk to each other and help each other out as much as we can. Good luck and she is in my prayers
