Chemotherapy hats patterns?

Does anyone know where I can find patterns for hats I can where whilst I have lost all my hair due to chemotherapy?

I have found one very basic stretch turban pattern, but I am looking for nicer ones. I have one I bought, but I don't want to take it apart to find out how it's made! It consists of 3 horizontal bands of jersey, gathered at the back, and looks much better than the stretchy towelling kind.

-There are lots of lovely hat patterns about, not just for Chemo patients. Take a look at the Vogue catalogue, McCalls and kwickSew, just for starters!

You can make them out of lots of different stuff, so line them with really soft stuff if you need to. If your head is very sensitive, look for patterns with very few seams and line if possible.

-"Quarter & mark" simply means taking the measurement and dividing into
1/4ths and mark. This is used for putting elastic in things or sewing on bands evenly.

-"Quarter and pin mark" is abbreviation to tell you how to match up the main portion to the band. Find the half way places of the main hat (Very often those are seams.) and mark with pins; this gives you two sections. Then find the half way points of EACH section and mark with pins; now you have four sections ...... the main hat is quartered! Repeat with the band. Match the pins of hat and band, pin or baste and stitch per pattern.

I like the second pattern, too. Seems to be a bit more current in style. When a lovely friend had chemo related baldness, she often wore a baseball hat embroidered "Bad Hair Day!"
