Exp. colon cancer chemotherapy

My father was diagnosed with colon cancer about a year and a half ago. Unfortunately, by the time of diagnoses, it had reached stage iV with beginning distant metastasis. The prognosis, of course, is not good...however, he has met with some success using both traditional and non-traditional therapies while at the CTCA in Tulsa, OK. However, his disease is getting worse. Is there anyone out there with information on experimental therapies or clinical trials? If you are seeking clinical trial info as well, try http://www.centerwatch.com. This site maintains a current database of clinical trials, dates, and so on. I am also seeking information about a british research project involving using large doses of caffeine via IV after chemotherapy for colon cancer patients. Has anyone heard of this project?

-Your father might be a candidate for either CPT-11 trials or Taxol. Do a keyword search to the NCI - National Cancer Institute. They will have details.

(the)duckster former caregiver to the General dop 4.24.97 after a VERY COURAGOUS battle from Stage IV colon cancer w/lung and bone mets.

-The centerwatch site has very few trials for colon cancer listed. They simply have the same few listed repeatedly for every site they are offered. Try the more than 80 trials listed at http://wwwicic.nci.nih.gov/ Follow the medical professional option to the place where the trials are listed. Click on any one for details.

-have you looked into Cryo-surgery my mom had colorectal cancer with multiple mets to the live. 2 years ago she had Cryo-surgery done in Los Angeles California and Has been cancer free ever since... It might be worth checking out for your dad.
